Social Events Question

Do social events determine your status within school?

  1. I think that it will affect your status if the people from school were involved, for example if you get in a fight and your friends are on the side of the person you fought then you will lose those friends. However it can also affect you in the other way if people like you for being at a social event then you will gain popularity. Also if you lose your friends then that might cause depression and sadness meaning that you don't work as well and will struggle to keep focus.

  2. I think it does in some cases as people determine who their friends are by the way they act and what they wear and even sometimes where they live.

  3. Depends on how big the social event is. If it was a gathering between a couple of friends where nothing particularly interesting went on, then I wouldn't consider it to be that status changing. However if it was a huge event where someone did something which resulted in them getting massive attention for it, then yes it could raise their status in school.

  4. I personally think that this is quite true, this is mainly because it is in a young teenager's nature to be interested in social events, for example, certain individuals like to gossip and have conversations about what is going on to another person's life, and then inadvertently view that person's image

  5. I believe it does only if the event you are at is with the people within your school.

  6. personally i believe they dont because you can go to any social event and not get noticed for it, personally it depends on your friends rather than which social events you attened.

  7. Yes i think it does because some people will decide their friends by their popularity and social events are a way to gain popularity.

  8. Yes, because people will then see what friends they will have through popularity.
